This is the Sophie bag before felting. Since I used only one strand of Cascade 220, once through the wash was enough to felt it to my liking. (I put a pair of jeans in the wash with the bag to increase the agitation and stopped the machine before the spin cycle. I learned these tips from one of the Knitty Gritty episodes on felting.) I used only one ball of the novelty yarn "Festival" which was just enough to knit up the last nine rows of the pattern with this much remaining from the end of the ball! Boy, I must be living right. :)
