Happy Easter

Happy Easter to you! Although bunnies and colored eggs are cute and delightful, and believe me, I've colored my share of eggs over the decades, to me Easter represents the event of sacrifice, atonement and hope for eternal life. Today I muttered several prayers: one for giving thanks that Jesus died for the atonement of my sins, giving me a hope for a heavenly eternal life; another for the Pope, who for the first time, was too weak to participate in the "Way of the Cross" commemoration; and lastly, I prayed for the safe travel for one of my co-workers (whom I consider a prayer-partner) who is currently visiting Italy. I wish everyone a fun-filled, yet meaningful Easter holiday weekend.
